A MEDICAL practice has said it has critical staffing levels today and has asked patients to use alternative services.
Launceston Medical Centre has said patients should consider using other services, such as the Livi GP app, which provides virtual consultations or alternatives such as pharmacists, minor injury unit or the minor eye conditions service.
It added that if a patient’s need is routine, they should contact them another day.
A statement from the surgery said: “Launceston Medical Centre have critical staffing levels today (October 22). As a result, we have very limited capacity.
“If your need is routine, please contact us another day. There are other services available that may be of use to you, such as, LIVI GP service, local pharmacists, MECS (minor eye conditions service) or MIU (minor injuries unit). Thank you for your understanding.”
