FIRE crews from Holsworthy Fire Station attended a chimney blaze at a property in Ashwater.
The incident occurred in the early morning of Sunday, December 8.
One pump from Holsworthy comprising a crew of five was mobilised to the incident, which involved isolating the water to remove the back boiler to access the alight chimney.
A spokesperson for Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service said: “One pump from Holsworthy with a crew of five was mobilised to this incident. Crews got to work isolating the water so we could remove the wood burner back boiler to access the chimney.
“Crews used chimney gear to extinguish the fire and thermal imaging to check for any remaining hotspots and small tools.
