Local students enjoyed a fantastic end to their Christmas term, as Boyton Primary School got into the festive spirit.

During their final week, staff and students enjoyed a wonderful carol concert in Boyton church for family, friends and the local community.

A spokesperson from the school said: “We were so proud of all our children who performed beautifully. Our youngest acted out the nativity, whilst the story was told by Chestnuts class - enriched with songs, carols, a solo, poetry and prayers. It was a very magical night for all.”

As well as this, the school’s parent-teacher association funded a trip for the whole school to go to the pantomime. They said: “What a treat! For many it was their first experience of a theatre at this time of year.”

However, it wasn't all fun and games, as students did a good deed by raising money for charity. This Christmas, staff and students fundraised for Cancer Research.

A spokesperson continued: “Although, we are a small school, we have raised over £200 following our Carol Service and Santa run! We are very thankful!”

A highlight, which has become a tradition at Boyton, was the Christmas community lunch for friends and family. The school’s talented cook prepared Christmas lunch for more than 80 people and it was lovely seeing the school full of friends and family.

A spokesperson concluded: “Finally, we are so excited about what 2025 brings! We are re-opening our nursery from February half-term, with a real focus on a high quality, outdoor learning ethos as we know children thrive with this provision. “We may be small in size - but certainly big in ambition!“
