LAUNCESTON’S mayor has looked forward to upcoming projects in 2025 as part of her Christmas message to residents.

Mayor of Launceston Cllr Helen Bailey would has wished all the residents of Launceston and surrounding villages a very happy Christmas and thanked them for their continued support of the town.

She said: “Our town looks so festive, the lights and tree are once again a wonderful display and Jeffrey the Gingerbread man is starring in many pictures this year, taking over from Pete the Polar Bear. Your support of our businesses is vital and it is so great to see so many new shops opening and the markets continue to be busy.

“The projects continue and the new Skate Park will be fully completed in the spring when we will hold a Skate Jam event for the official opening, the Library Hub consultation is now complete and we are moving forward with this. Lots going on and along with funding for Priory Park play equipment 2025 is looking like another busy year.

“Here’s to a very prosperous 2025 for our beautiful historic town.”
