BUDE welcome Wiveliscombe tomorrow (2.30pm) nervously looking over their shoulders in Counties One Western West.
The Seasiders were beaten 33-12 at Redruth Seconds last weekend, that despite being all square at 7-7 at half-time.
A slow start to the second 40 cost them dear in West Cornwall, and they face another tough task when fifth-placed Wiveliscombe arrive at Bencoolen Meadow.
The Somerset outfit have had a much-improved campaign having flirted with relegation last term, winning nine of their 14 outings and have the most miserly defence in the division having conceded just 241 points.
Bude are now just three points clear of second bottom Tavistock after the Moorlanders edged past St Ives last Saturday.
To make matters more hairy for Bude, the Devonians have a game in-hand.
But while the pressure is on to maintain their Step Seven status for another season, they do have some winnable games to come with bottom half sides Tavistock, Penryn and St Ives all yet to come to North Cornwall.
Joint head coaches Simon Jeffery and Joe Wilson make two changes from last weekend as Fred Saxton is back from injury and replaces Harvey Cholwill at lock, while Will Pharo is in for the unavailable Ryan Butler.
Pharo starts at full-back with Alfie Hurwood switching to scrum-half and Ollie Rowland to his favoured position on the left wing.
Lewis Jones could make his first appearance of the season from the bench.
BUDE: Will Pharo, Olly Denford, Ben Tharme, Joe Wilson, Ollie Rowland, Brad Thomas, Alfie Hurwood; Fraser Martyn, Rory Mead, Hayden Chater, Will Hockridge (capt), Fred Saxton, Finley Fry, Matt Maniglia, Ben Hancock. Replacements: Chris Allin, Harvey Cholwill, Lewis Jones.
Other fixtures: Bideford v Kingsbridge, Penryn v Barnstaple Seconds, Redruth Seconds v St Ives, Tavistock v Pirates Amateurs.
