THE Launceston and District Pool League is now into the second stage of the season after Colin Park B were crowned Premier Division champions following the final round of games on Tuesday, December 17.
They won all 11 of their games to take the title from Newmarket A who were just eight points behind and only lost once to the champions.
Colin Park A made up the top three but were 30 points behind second.
At the bottom, Newmarket D tasted victory just once and ended on 55 points, 13 adrift of Manor who were only a point behind Archers Arms B.
The 12 sides have now been split into two groups of six for the rest of the season – Premier and Division One with the top six from the league going into one, and the bottom six in the other.
This gives each side ten matches with the season due to end on Tuesday, April 1.

The second part of the season got going on Tuesday, January 7 with three games in each division.
In the Premier, Colin Park B thrashed Old Orchard 13-2 as Dan Gay, Rene Goutte and Wayne Smith all racked up trebles.
Peter Hatch and Peter ‘Spud’ Prout also won three each as Archers Arms A won 11-4 at Launceston Arms A.
Newmarket A also started strongly as they beat Colin Park A 11-4.
Danny Smith, David Smith and James Wilson were unbeaten all evening with David Bennett’s brace the best for the visitors.
In Division One, both Archers Arms B and Manor recorded 9-6 victories.
Archers welcomed Newmarket ‘Shots On’ and saw Ben McManigan rack up a treble with Rob Perkins, Julian Sanders and Andy Smith securing doubles.
Manor visited Newmarket D with Darren Davies the star of the night for the visitors.
Rob Black won his three for the hosts with Alan Woods (2) also contributing well.
Wilsey Squirrels against Newmarket B was postponed.
In the Prem on January 14, Colin Park B won 11-4 at Archers Arms A, while Colin Park A and Old Orchard also earned home victories over Launceston Arms A and Newmarket A respectively.
Division One saw Newmarket B ease past their D team 11-4 while Newmarket ‘Shots on’ edged past Wilsey Squirrels 8-7.
