MARSEILLE turned up the heat and turned on the breeze for day three of the Paris 2024 Olympic Sailing competition, which was held yesterday (July 30).
Launceston’s Sam Sills, Team GB’s representative in the Men’s Windsurfing (iQFOIL), came ashore beaming after climbing the leaderboard to ninth after five races.
Reflecting on his performance, Sam said: “I'm doing my best, doing the best I can, just trying to stay focused and deliver. I mean, it's tough. It's really tough. There's so much jeopardy out there and you’ve just got to keep calm. Whatever happens, just hold on and keep going. We've got a great team behind us. Just don't give up, basically!”
