YOU know summer is around the corner as the 2025 Cornwall Cricket League fixtures have been released.

In a year which for the first time in many years will see clubs play 18 Saturday games instead of 22, the ECB Cornwall Premier League as ever will have ten teams.

In a highly-competitive division, there’s no love lost between old rivals Callington and Werrington who will meet on the opening day at Moores Park on Saturday, May 3.

Fixtures will see clubs play each other once over the opening nine weeks, before they are played in the same order over the second half.

After the opening day clash, Werrington welcome Redruth before rounding off the month with a trip to promoted Grampound Road and home clashes with Helston and Truro.

A trip to champions Penzance awaits on June 7 before they round off the first half with trips to St Just and Wadebridge either side of a date with St Austell at Ladycross.

Callington visit on July 5 with Wadebridge the final day opponents on August 30.

After welcoming Werrington on matchday one, Callington visit St Just and Redruth on successive Saturdays before potentially pivotal home games with St Austell and Penzance.

Their final clash of the first half is at Helston who they entertain on matchday 18.

The rest of the leagues have also switched to ten teams, meaning on paper the standard should rise.

Six Post area clubs are in Division Two East and four of them clash on the opening day as a new-look Holsworthy welcome Callington Seconds and St Minver entertain Bude.

Division Three champions Luckett start at home to St Blazey, while promoted St Austell Thirds go to Werrington Seconds who pushed champions St Austell Seconds hard last term.

Callington welcome Werrington on matchday two while Bude welcome relegated Wadebridge Seconds who will be amongst the favourites to go up.

St Minver, Luckett and Holsworthy are on their travels at Lanhydrock, St Austell and St Blazey respectively.

All clubs have their big derby matches.

Luckett and Callington meet on June 14 and August 16 with the first at Chapel Field, while Bude and Holsworthy battle it out on May 24 at Crooklets and July 26 at Stanhope Park.

Bude and Werrington face off on matchday eight and 17, the second at Ladycross, while Wadebridge and Werrington will hope for a final day title decider at Egloshayle Park.

St Minver were a solid fifth last term and reacquaint themselves with Wadebridge on May 17 at Menefreda Way before the return on July 19.

All divisions are stronger on paper and Division Three is no different with four Post area clubs involved – all of who meet on the opening day as Launceston entertain Callington Thirds and Tintagel go to fellow relegated side South Petherwin.

Launceston and South Petherwin renew their rivarly on matchday nine at Lawhitton before the return on the final day.

Tintagel host Launceston on May 24 before visiting Lawhitton on July 26, while South Petherwin entertain Cally on June 14 and head to Lux Park, where Cally will groundshare with Liskeard, on August 16.

Callington have plenty of exciting fixtures as they also have several East Cornwall derbies as well as they face the likes of Saltash, Menheniot-Looe and Boconnoc.
