COUNTIES THREE CORNWALL

Saltash Seconds 21 Launceston Castles 58

LAUNCESTON ran in ten tries to keep up their perfect start to the season.

They took just a few minutes to get on the scoreboard as good work from number eight Pete Bebbington and winger Kuda Chisango ended with flanker Fin Stiles dotting down.

The lead was doubled soon after when Chisango crossed following some good hands.

The third arrived through Nathan Ferrett by the halfway point of the half, and there were still four more to come before the break as wingers Dale Johnson and Chisango scored the next three, two of which went to Johnson, before full-back Ollie Tomkies crossed moments before the break.

Tomkies grabbed his second soon after the restart after more disruption from Bebbington at a Saltash lineout, and it was Bebbington who got the side’s ninth try.

Prop Callum Johns crossed for the tenth just after the hour which Richard Jasper added the extras to for the fourth time, and although the home side scored three times in the final stages, it was Launceston’s day.

WOMEN’S NC 2 SOUTH WEST (WEST)

Okehampton 94 Bude 17

THE Seasiders made the short trip over to Okehampton, but ran into a devastating home display which showed the gulf between the two sides on the day.

To Bude’s credit they never gave up and did get on the scoreboard via Ellie Gregory’s brace and conversion and a try from full-back Tegan Parnell.
