DUNHEVED Bowling Club’s ladies are delighted to have won the Stamford League for the 2024 season.

They entered having not competed in it for many years and took on Bradworthy (who came a close second), Kensey Vale, Bude, Stratton and Holsworthy.

The majority of Dunheved’s ladies took part, including experienced and beginner players, some of whom had only joined the club this year.

It was seen as a great way to encourage new talent and develop skills as a team.

The Stamford AGM was held at Bude Bowling Club on Monday, October 21.

Members from all six clubs attended and were given a warm welcome.

The trophy was presented to Dunheved ladies captain Claire Fishleigh by Jenny Horncastle from the host club.

The evening ended with a raffle, quiz and buffet tea. Thanks were given to Bude for organising the league this year.
