AFTER the great success of the Holsworthy Christmas Tree festival, the public who attended and cast their vote for their favourite tree have had their say.
Four winners have been announced by those responsible for the operation of the church of St Peter and St Paul, which was the location of the Christmas tree festival event.
It was organised by the church with assistance from Holsworthy town councillors Cllr Jon Hutchings and mayor Cllr Nigel Kenneally, both of whom assisted with bringing the trees into the venue.
Holsworthy Primary School’s tree, decorated by the children of the school, came out top of the competition with the other three winning trees also representing community organisations in and around the town which make a difference to those who call it home.
In second place was the Holsworthy Bellringers, third place went to the Children’s Church Pyworthy and fourth was the flower arrangers of St Peter’s and St Paul’s.
All of the trees featured were decorated by local businesses, groups and community organisations.
