I am writing to express my deep frustration with the repeated and unresolved issues surrounding our rubbish and recycling collection service, which have reached a critical point. As outlined in my previous complaints (referenced in earlier communication), the ongoing failures have now reached an unacceptable level.

We are a family of 8, and naturally, we generate a significant amount of waste and recycling on a daily basis. Initially, we were provided with a small black sack that quickly proved insufficient. My wife ordered a second sack, and for a brief period, things seemed to be going fine. However, complications soon arose.

Firstly, my wife was informed that a wheelie bin could not be provided due to space limitations – despite the fact that we have more than adequate space. Eventually, we received a wheelie bin, but the collection service has been nothing short of chaotic. On collection day, the team made an effort by lifting our two large black sacks into the truck, but failed to properly handle the rest of our waste, leaving us with a single, overstuffed bin. The bin does not accommodate the volume of rubbish we generate, which has resulted in overflowing waste.

We were promised that additional collections would be arranged and that new bags would be delivered. To date, this has not happened, and we are now left with over 40 bags of rubbish, rapidly accumulating and becoming an increasing health hazard. Despite numerous phone calls and assurances that the situation would be addressed, nothing has changed.

Today, on February 3, 2025, our recycling was once again not collected. We had placed two full red bags and one black bag out for collection. Instead of removing the red bags as required, the collection team placed the black bag on top of the red bags, effectively blocking our pathway and adding a green label to the bags. This is yet another example of poor service, and the situation is becoming intolerable.

At this point, we are dealing with significant health and hygiene risks, including an infestation of rats. This situation cannot continue any longer, and we demand an immediate resolution.
