LAUNCESTON’S fire station has issued a reminder it is okay for people to talk about their feelings after a recent incident at the town’s A30 overbridge.
Launceston Community Fire Station has spoken to the community, reminding residents that it’s “okay to not be okay”, after a man was taken to hospital after falling from an overbridge on the A30 in the town last week (March 24).
In light of the incident, the station has installed some new signs on the bridge reinforcing the message that there are people who want to help.
In a statement, a spokesperson for the fire station said: “After both recent and historic events in our town, it’s time to pull together and check in on each other!
“If you know someone who’s struggling, give them a message, ask to go for a walk, ask to meet for a tea or coffee. Tell them its ok to not be ok! A problem shared is a problem halved.
“You’ll notice some new signs on our bridges. It’s a reminder when things get tough, there’s people who want to help!
