TWO men from Launceston have been arrested following a serious assault in Plymouth.

Officers investigating are appealing to the public for witnesses and information following an alleged serious assault in Plymouth on Sunday, March 30.

The incident reportedly took place outside Drake Circus in Charles Street at around 4.45am.

A spokesperson from Devon and Cornwall Police said: “It was reported that a man was set upon by two males and kicked to the head several times, rendering him unconscious.

“The victim was taken to hospital where he is currently undergoing treatment for serious injuries.”

A man aged 18 from Launceston and a man aged 19, also from Launceston, have been arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent. They remain in police custody at this time.

Investigating officers would like to hear from anybody who witnessed the incident, or for anybody with relevant phone, CCTV or dash-cam footage.
