A CHURCH in Launceston is shining with Christmas spirit, after it has been filled with 92 Christmas trees.

St Mary Magdalene Church in Launceston has been transformed into a winter wonderland, after local groups, communities and people have created nearly one hundred beautifully decorated Christmas trees.

Each year, the church welcomes residents and visitors to have a look at some of the festive creativity provided by local people.

Residents are also invited to have a slice of cake and a cup of coffee or tea and get in the Christmas spirit.

The church is open between 10am and 4pm each day until the end of December 13.

St Mary’s is also hosting its Christingle at 4pm, Sunday, December 8.
