CREWS from two fire stations were called to a fire at an electricity power line.

The incident happened in the evening of August 22.

A spokesperson for Holsworthy Fire Station said: “Shortly after returning back to station after attending the Agricultural Show, Two crews from Holsworthy and Hartland attended an incident involving an 11,000 volt power line pole on fire.

“Crews checked the area for any fire spread, and cordoned the area off in a defensive position with a safety jet in place, The national grid was quickly on scene and isolated the high voltage lines to make safe. Crews then handed over after confirmation of fire was out.”
