THE village of Delabole came together to remember its fallen heroes of the past, as its present gave their thanks.
In a service comprising of a remembrance service at the Methodist Church on Sunday, November 10, and a wreath laying ceremony at the War Memorial, a large crowd gathered in the spirit of gentle remembrance.
This was preceded by a parade through the town towards the Methodist Church where the Reverend Steve Swann led the Service of Remembrance.
A roll of honour was read by Delabole RBL chair Bill Hatch, with veterans and dignitaries, including Cornwall Council member for St Teath and Tintagel Dominic Fairman, present to pay their respects in addition to the local community of Delabole.
Clyde Ferguson raised the standard, while among those laying wreaths at the War Memorial was Richard Bluett, of the Delabole station of Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service.
