BUDE-Stratton Town Council has announced dates for controversial resurfacing works at Crooklets Car Park.

The town council has revealed that work will get underway to resurface the car park at Crooklets Beach, as well as refurbishing the public toilets in the area from September 30.

The works were previously planned for July, however, having caused much local concern around timing within the peak summer period and lack of access to an important community facility, they were postponed.

This week, the council revealed that the work will get underway in the coming weeks.

A spokesperson for Bude-Stratton Council said: “Cornwall Council will be carrying out resurfacing works at Crooklets Car Park starting the week of September 30.

“Bude-Stratton Town Council will also be refurbishing the public toilets at the same time.”

Works will be undertaken over the course of five days, between the hours of 7.30am and 5pm each day.

A spokesperson continued :”The main car park and public toilets will be closed, but access to the overflow car park will remain available.”

Residents are being asked to plan accordingly and take extra care around the area during the work period.
