A BANKING hub is set to open its doors in Bude amid the ongoing branch closures.

Cash Access UK has announced that a banking hub will be opening in Bude. The scheme provides a space in which residents can access cash and banking services despite closures of bank branches across the area.

Last year, it was announced that the town’s TSB will close its doors in May 2025.

With closures becoming more common, banking hubs are becoming a necessity to fulfil residents’ banking needs.

Bude’s banking hub has now been opened in its temporary home at the Parkhouse Centre while plans for the permanent hub progress.

Open weekdays from 9am until 5pm, the hub offers basic banking and cash services.

It also provides the convenience of a community banker service, where residents can discuss more complex banking matters.

Community bankers will be available from TSB, NatWest, Barclay, and Lloyds.

Gareth Oakley, CEO at Cash Access UK: said: “I’m happy to announce that the new banking hub in Bude is now open, giving residents renewed access to cash and in-person banking services. The hub is available for everyday banking transactions every day of the week, and for more specific or complex enquiries, a community banker will be on-site to assist on designated days.”
