A PENSIONER has been arrested on drink-driving offences after a collision between a Honda and a pedestrian in Padstow.
Officers were called to reports of a collision between a grey Honda Jazz and a pedestrian on School Hill, in the town during the evening of Sunday, November 2.
A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said: “Officers are seeking witnesses following a collision in Padstow which left a pedestrian with serious injuries.
“Police were called to School Hill in Padstow at around 8.30pm on Saturday, November 2 to reports of a collision involving a Grey Honda Jazz and a pedestrian.
“The pedestrian, a man in his 60s, sustained a serious leg injury and was taken to hospital for treatment.
“A 71-year-old female was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by careless driving and driving whilst unfit through drink. She has since been released on bail, and enquiries are ongoing.
“The Roads Policing Team would like to thank members of the public for their patience whilst the road was closed.
