HOLSWORTHY Cricket Club have announced that South African all-rounder Herschelle Poggenpoel will return for a second season in 2024.
The Trees went down the overseas route for the first time last year with excellent results as Poggenpoel racked up over 700 runs and took 55 wickets on the way to the club finishing third in Division Two East of the Cornwall Cricket League and winning the Division Two T20 Cup in their first tilt.
The Stanhope Park club are hoping to be amongst the frontrunners again once more in both competitions, and news that the right-hander and left-arm finger spinner will be part of the squad will be music to the ears of everybody.
