HOLSWORTHY AFC have found out their fixtures for the 2024/25 Walter C Parson Peninsula League season.

The Magpies are in the Premier West division for the second straight year, and will hope to build on last year’s 11th-placed finish.

Ryan Hall’s men are on their travels on the opening day on Saturday, August 3 when they visit fellow Post area club Camelford, and are once again at Dobwalls three days later.

Like several other clubs, the Devon-based club have asked for August 10 off due to the Boardmasters Festival in Newquay, meaning their clash with last year’s runners-up Liskeard Athletic on the 14th is their first of 15 at Upcott Field.

Supporters then have to wait just three more days for the second as Sticker, who were reprieved last season from the drop after finishing bottom, make the trip across the border.

Holsworthy make it a hat-trick of home games on the 21st when they welcome Callington Town, the final fixture of the month after they asked to be a spare on the 31st.

A fourth straight home game is against Bodmin Town on Saturday, September 4, before they visit promoted St Day three days later.

There is a nice 11-day break before they welcome fellow Post area club Launceston on Wednesday, September 18, which is followed by the long trip to Penzance on the Saturday.

They are due to be in midweek action in the Devon St Lukes Bowl on either the following Tuesday or Wednesday, and round off the month with a visit from relegated Millbrook on Saturday the 28th.

October is another busy month with the games coming thick and fast.

They head to much-fancied Newquay on October 5 before a midweek visit from Dobwalls four days later.

A home clash with Cullompton Rangers in the last 32 of the SWPL League Cup is the task on October 12 which is followed by a trip to Liskeard on the Wednesday.

A ten-day break will be wanted before they round off the month at home to Wadebridge Town and with an away game at Bodmin Town on Tuesday, October 29.

Once you get into November, league fixtures are scheduled for just Saturdays.

Holsworthy host Truro City on the second before the short trip down the A388 to Launceston a week later.

Another short, by their standards, trip to Callington is the task on the 16th, before they make it a third successive Post area club to face when they entertain Camelford.

They have no fixture on November 30.

The start of December will be targeted by boss Ryan Hall as they head to Sticker before a home clash with St Day on the 14th.

They then have a 12-day league break before a visit from Bude Town on Boxing Day.

The new year starts on January 4 with a trip to Millbrook, followed by tough successive home games with Wendron United and Newquay.

An already hard January ends with a clash at Wadebridge Town on the 25th.

February looks more pleasant as they first visit Truro City’s new ground at Langarth before they welcome Penzance on the 8th.

They then have two of the final three weekends off, the exception being a long trip to Wendron on February 22.

From Saturday, March 8 to Saturday, April 12 are spare weekends for the usual postponements before the final game of the season on Friday, April 18 sees them make the short trip along the A3072 to Bude Town.

The dates for the Walter C Parson League Cup final and Champions Bowl are set for Monday, May 5 and May 10 respectively.
