HOLSWORTHY Golf Club presented a flurry of trophies during August, to celebrate a summer of competitions.

The prestigious Jubilee Cup is a competition held over eight weeks, with the best scores over that period being ranked, the winner being rewarded for the most consistent performance. Jeremy Horwood just edged it, snatching victory from Mike Bridgman in the final week.

The Scratch Knockout competition was concluded in August, with the final game being won by Ian Kirby. Ian took his great form into the club championships, held recently, where he posted the lowest gross score over a two-day, 36-hole competition.

Ian Kirby was crowned club champion for 2024 and was presented the trophy by club captain, Mark Brumham.

To conclude the proceedings, Pete Isaac was awarded the cup for the lowest ‘net’ score in the same competition. A great result by all involved.
