TODD Peschke scored twice as Holsworthy Reserves kept up their promotion hopes with a narrow 3-2 victory over neighbours Shebbear United at Upcott Field on Wednesday evening.
The spectators certainly got their money’s worth in a game that saw five goals, a penalty and lots of energy and enthusiasm from both sets of players.
Two goals from Todd Peschke gave the Magpies a 2-1 half-time lead after Jamie Sluggett’s superb opener for Sheb.
Although Peschke missed a penalty, sub Sam Jago put Holsworthy 3-1 ahead to give them control.
Andrew James set up a grandstand finish with a header, but Holsworthy held on to keep up the pressure on top two, Appledore and Landkey Town.
