This time the result was much closer, but it was the visitors who were triumphant.
The Launceston course was in superb condition and all the players enjoyed an excellent after-match meal in the clubhouse.

Lombard Trophy Regional Final at Burnham and Berrow Golf Club — Thursday, August 2
ON A LOVELY warm and surprisingly wind free day, which is very rare at the Somerset course, the Launceston pairing of club professional John Tozer and his amateur partner Mike Blake managed a creditable top-ten finish at six-under par in the regional final of the Lombard Trophy.
Two unfortunate dropped shots meant a placement in the first three was denied. Both players enjoyed the course, which although very burnt and dry following the recent weather, as always had greens in perfect condition.
Reflecting on the day, Tozer said: “The winners were from Glamorgan Golf Club with a remarkable 13-under-par and even if we had holed everything and had more than our fair share of luck we would have struggled to get near to that score."
Both players were delighted with their score and hope to get the chance to compete in next year’s event.
