LAUNCESTON fell to a fourth defeat in six games on Saturday as a last-gasp Luke Simmons penalty earned Okehampton a remarkable 30-29 victory in West Devon.
Lanson played down the slope in the first half and racked up a 23-10 lead thanks to tries from Ethan Pearce-Cowley, Albert Horne and Brandon Rowley and eight points from the boot of fly-half Glenn Coles, although that failed to truly reflect the dominance they showed.
However Oke clawed themselves back into the match through converted tries from Matt Dennis and Karl Pearce, before a couple of late penalties - one to each team - gave the All Blacks a 29-27 lead with three minutes to go.
But after the visitors were penalised, Simmons sent over a superb kick to send the home fans wild, and secure a league double over their neighbours from down the A30.
