MEMBERS of Bude RATs and Launceston Road Runners completed the Indian Queens Half Marathon on Sunday, August 4.

The 13.1-mile race is event nine of the 2024 Cornish Grand Prix Race Series and saw 386 runners finish.

Chloe Constantine and Stephen Hutchinson were the Bude representatives and their times of 1:39:55 and 1:58:35 were enough for top three placings in their respective age groups with Chloe taking first in the F50-54 section, while Stephen’s was enough for third in the M70-74 category.

Launceston had a nine-strong group at the Clay Country-based seven, the fastest of which saw Kevin Marshall finish in 1:35:54 for 67th overall.

Jenny Mills (F75-79) and Lavinia Marshall (F70-74) were first and second respectively in their age groups, while the times were as follows: Kevin Marshall – 1:35:54; David Thomson – 1:40:51; Eddie Thomson – 1:49:51; Claire Winfield – 1:52:32; Jenny Mills – 1:54:25; Paul Haywood – 2:23:11; Vin Marshall – 2:35:32; John Barnes – 2:44:28.
