TREGADILLETT Brownies enjoyed a trip across the Tamar recently as part of their annual trip.
Unfortunately the group were unable to hold their annual pack holiday this year, however, this didn’t stop them having a fun together.
Instead, the group enjoyed a fantastic day out at The Big Sheep near Bideford. The girls met at Tregadillett and Brown Owl, Sara Fuge, met them and Snowy Owl, Beth Martin, in the minibus.
After loading them all in, they set off, ready for a fun-filled day.
Once they had arrived, the clouds suddenly came in and for a few minutes they had to shelter from some drizzly rain however, the rest of the day was filled with sunshine. There were so many things to choose from and the day was planned carefully around the various activities that were happening at certain times.
A spokesperson from the group said: “We watched a sheep show, a sheepdog showing her skills off with a group of Indian runner ducks, sheep racing and took part in feeding the sheep and later some lambs too.
“There was also the roller coaster ride that everyone wanted to go on - some even went on the ride twice! Brown Owl and Tawny Owl didn’t have a go - well someone has to look after the girls who didn’t want to, along with the backpacks and someone had to take all the photos.
“We had lunch in the cafe and also enjoyed some time in the soft play area while waiting for it to be ready. Then of course the pocket money had to be spent in the gift shop. Almost all the girls bought the same cuddly toy and they had great fun playing with them on the minibus on the way home.
“The girls were all very well behaved while out and in fact the staff and several member of the public commented on how lovely they had been. We also managed to be a great advert for Girlguiding as several people spoke to us remembering the trips they went on while in the Brownies when they were children.”
