The annual Bradworthy and District Ploughing Match returns on Saturday, September 28.
Starting from 10am until late, the event will provide the public and members of the farming community with all day entertainment.
Bradworthy and District Ploughing Association chairman Roland Ley said: “We are extremely pleased to be holding this year's match at ‘Lundy View’ near Stitworthy Farm, Higher Clovelly, by Kind permission of Mr Victor Goaman.
“The ploughing match promises to be a great day out for all the family with the usual ploughing classes, agricultural and garden produce competitions. There is also handicraft and children's sections.”
To enter classes for any of the ploughing competitions, contact secretary Rose Wooldridge on 01409 261388 or email at [email protected]
Roland continued: “This year there will be a display of pre 1970s vintage tractors, machinery and vehicles. The barham lawnmower racers will be in attendance plus trade stands and on site catering.
“We welcome everyone at the end of September for a great rural day out.”
Evening entertainment will be provided by local five piece covers band, 9 Yards, who will be playing a mix of classic rock, pop, blues and disco.
