A town council in North Cornwall has announced an opening following the resignation of one of its councillors.

Bude-Stratton Town Council has revealed that it is looking for someone to join the council to fill a position in the Bude Ward.  

A spokesperson for the council explained: “Due to the resignation of Katie Goode, a vacancy has arisen in the office of councillor for the Bude Ward of Bude-Stratton Town Council. 

“If by August 9, 2024, the request for an election has been received from at least 10 electors by the Proper Officer in Truro, an election will be held to fill the vacancy. Otherwise the post will be filled by co-option.”
