FOUR days of family friendly community fun was had by the residents of Camelford, after a successful staging of their annual event.
Events, co-ordinated by Camelford Town Council, for the ‘Four Days of Fun’ were put on to provide entertainment across half term and included all manner of events ranging from a duck race, to a ‘Music in the Park’ event in addition to child-friendly events such as a dog show and teddy bears’ picnic.
The main event, a Music in the Park event, which was ticketed due to concerns over anti-social behaviour, saw a range of acts take to the stage to entertain those in attendance with a loud crescendo.
After the Music in the Park event, a spokesperson for Camelford Town Council said it had been a huge success, adding: “Music in the Park this year took place on Saturday, June 1, and this year we were actually blessed with sun, although it was still inexplicably cold for June.
“With music provided by Sir James Smith's Secondary School, Callum Flew, Blue Orion and The Good Old Fashioned Lover Boys - Queen Tribute, glitter art and face painting from Abi Blanchard, drinks from the Mason's Arms and The Indian King Coffee Lounge, food from New Hanger Management and Cornish Crêpes, and other stalls and activities provided by Camelford Lights and the ladies of the WI, there was a little bit of something for everyone!
“With over 400 members of the public in attendance throughout the day, there was a pleasant vibe around the park, with everyone appearing to very much enjoy themselves! There were also no major or even minor incidents this year, which is a huge tick. CTC (Camelford Town Council) have already started the planning process for next year's event, and hope that it can once again be one for everyone to enjoy!
“CTC would like to say a huge thank you not only to those mentioned, but to the security team, first aid team, volunteers, support staff, and members of the public who came along to support and generally make the day as enjoyable as it was!”
