A CHARITY 12-hour football match has raised hundreds of pounds to help a boy who has a life-limiting illness.
Sixteen-month-old Dudley Wilson from Halwill Junction has been diagnosed with Leigh's Disease — a rare inherited degenerative neurometabolic disorder that affects the central nervous system.
Staff at Holsworthy-based Thorne Manor Day Nursery and Pre-school are doing everything they can to help Dudley and his family make him as comfortable as possible.
So far staff have taken part in a sponsored cycle, completed Cardiff half-marathon and, at the weekend, took part in a 12-hour football match.
Sid Badham from Thorne Manor, organised the match, which was well supported and watched by Dudley and his parents, Jamie and Ailie Wilson.
