A SONGS of praise service was held in Bradworthy Church on Sunday, June 30, in honour of the retirement of Rev Richard Dorrington.

Rev Dorrington leaves five churches, including, Putford and Sutcombe. He has served in the Bradworthy area for 15 years and is now moving to Dobwalls.

He and his wife Bryony have been described as "an excellent team" by the churchwardens that have served with them over the years.

Following the service, churchwardens and members of the congregation joined with Rev Dorrington and his wife in Bradworthy Hall for refreshments.
