TWO products for marking personal possessions were launched at the Farm Watch Crime Prevention Day last week at Holsworthy Market.
The event was attended by the crime prevention officer and PCSO Raquel Rowe, who said: “Having been in the job as a rural PCSO in Holsworthy for nearly ten years I’ve looked for a robust method of marking outside tools and machineries that people can mark their things and are traceable.
“The two products Selecta DNA and Smart Water are forensic substances that can only be seen through ultra violet lights. These products are robust and can be applied to any items from jewellery, computers, saddles, granite, machineries, etc.
“The products are waterproof and robust that it can’t be removed by any detergent.
“It’s very easy to apply and I recommend people to mark their belongings and make sure to take their serial numbers at the same time. The products are unique to each bottle.”
Both products are available online at www.selectadna.co.uk and at www.smartwater.com
