A CHARITY lunch was held by Holsworthy Rotary Club at Roadford Lake on Sunday, October 20.
The event was in aid of the RNLI, which is president Peter Bumby’s chosen charity for the year.
The guest speaker was Martyn ‘Minnie’ Fry, a long serving lifeguard. He told Rotary members about the local beaches covered and entertained everyone with anecdotes of some lighter moments as well as explaining the work of the lifeguards who are now part of the RNLI.
A raffle raised £250 and other donations brought the total on the day to £375. Guests were served an excellent lunch by Oaktree Occasions.
