FOUR young people who act as leaders and role models to their peers have received promotions in recognition of their service and achievements.

Officer Commanding for North Devon Major David Price, at a recent weekend training camp, promoted corporals Jack Heal and James Britt to the roles of Sergeant.

Lance Corporals Ella Hughes and Summer were promoted to full Corporal by Holsworthy Army Cadet Force Detachment Commander Second Lieutenant Jim Harvey.

Of the promotions Second Lieutenant Harvey said: “They are all very well deserved and the recipients have all proven their value as dedicated and skilled young leaders.”

Leadership development is just one of many achievements that young people from 12 years of age and up can aspire to as a member of the Army Cadet Force (ACF).
