POLICE have warned residents following reports of ‘aggressive begging’ in Launceston.
Devon and Cornwall Police has said that the force has received reports of aggressive begging in Launceston’s town centre and are investigating incidents presented to them.
A spokesperson from Devon and Cornwall Police said: “Please be aware that begging and homeless are not the same thing.
“If you are concerned about someone who is begging and think they are homeless you can help them by reporting it to Cornwall Council or via thestreetlink.org.uk/”
Police have also suggested other ways residents could support those in need.
They continued: “Other ways to help could be donating to a local foodbank or charity.
