Devon and Cornwall Police are appealing for information following reports of an alleged stabbing in Launceston.

Officers were called to the Asda petrol station after two men were reportedly assaulted near the forecourt on Tuesday, July 2 at 11.40pm.

It was reported that one of the victims had suffered a stab wound to the head. The injury is not believed to be life-threatening or changing. Both victims were also believed to have been punched causing facial injuries.  

A 20-year-old man from Launceston has been arrested on suspicion of Section 18 causing grievous bodily harm with intent. He remains in police custody. 

Enquiries are ongoing to locate a suspect who is described as a white male with light brown or blond hair. He was believed to be wearing dark clothing and trainers.
