THE go-ahead has been given for the construction of 16 homes at Tuckers Garage, Coads Green (PA20/04468).
Tuckers Garage, also known as Coads Green Garage, is on the B3257 at the southern end of Coads Green with the site adjoining the village hall and playing field.
The site had already had two planning permissions granted, one for 20 homes, but none had been implemented. Kwalita Developments Ltd purchased the site in 2019 and submitted an application for the 16 homes with five them being affordable dwellings.
The development will consist of two, three and four-bed properties -detached, semi-detached and terraced each with a minimum of two car parking spaces and gardens to the front and rear.
The planning statement adds: “...the proposal will meet the economic objective, in the first instance providing employment during the construction phase and, later, by the occupiers of the dwellings supporting the retention of local services and facilities in nearby settlements. The proposal will, similarly, meet the social objective offering a range of homes, including five affordable dwellings to meet local housing needs, as well as helping to meet the need for housing more generally.”
