LIVE In The Wyldes can today announce that the legendary UK singer-songwriter Paul Weller will headline the second Live in The Wyldes concert of 2019.

The Modfather himself will be heading to The Wyldes, near Bude in North Cornwall on June 15 2019, the second act announcement for next year’s Live In The Wyldes series of shows.

From his nascent beginnings as a key member of popular British bands The Jam and The Style Council, his status as an icon of the UK music scene was cemented when he began his solo career, producing a raft of hit singles that remain consistently popular with old and new fans alike, including songs such as You Do Something to Me, The Changingman and Wild Wood. Paul Weller released his fourteenth solo album, True Meanings, in September this year and received critical acclaim and reached number two in the official UK album’s chart.

Over a long and critically lauded career, Paul Weller has won acclaim from all corners of the industry and his solo artistry has seen him win four Brit Awards, the NME’s Godlike Genius Award, an Ivor Novello Lifetime Achievement award, and at this year’s Q Awards, Paul was honoured with the Best Act in The World Right Now award.

Live In The Wyldes will be Paul Weller’s only show in the Westcountry in 2019, and marks the second grand announcement from the team, following the news that big beat DJ Fat Boy Slim will headline the first Live in The Wyldes event of the year just the evening before, on June 14 2019.

As one of the southwest’s largest capacity venues and at just two years’ old, Live in The Wyldes has seen critically-acclaimed headline performances from Rag’n’Bone Man, Chase & Status, and Paloma Faith, all supported by a host of incredible artists including Dan Caplen, Shy FX, High Contrast, and Rhys Lewis.

Paul Weller — along with support acts that are yet to be announced – will be performing at Live In The Wyldes on Saturday, June 15 2019, Presale tickets will be available from 9am on Wednesday, 28 November 2018, and general sale from 9am Friday, November 30 2018 from The Wyldes website. More artists and further dates to be announced soon.

Event co-founder, Matt Daniel said: “2019 is shaping up to be the best year yet for Live In The Wyldes. We’ve had Paul Weller on our wishlist since we started this series of live events in 2017, and we think he’s going to absolutely blow minds when he heads here next June. Given the music and the stunning location — I don’t think I’m exaggerating when I say this will be a concert that will stick in people’s minds forever.”

The Wyldes is also home to multi award-winning festival, Leopallooza, which has played host to some of the biggest and best names in music over the past 12 years, as well as introducing thousands of music fans to their new favourite artists. Live In The Wyldes follows in Leopallooza’s grassroots footsteps in bringing internationally renowned artists to Cornwall and throwing a damn good party!

The Wyldes is nestled within a lush, tree-lined valley near Bude, in North Cornwall, just a few miles from the beach. The site has been created and is maintained using recycled and sustainable materials, as well as following a 0% landfill policy across all events.

Tickets for Paul Weller at Live In The Wyldes are available from www.intothewyldes.com from 9am on Friday, November 30 2018. Tickets will be priced at £37.50 (plus booking fee).
