MORE than 130 jobs have been saved following the sale of a Padstow-based book printing company.

An award-winning Cornwall-based book printing company TJ Books Ltd, which employs over 130 people, has had its future secured following a successful sale.

TJ Books has a heritage dating back over 50 years. The business, like many others, faced headwinds caused by general economic uncertainty and was therefore sold to Clays Group, securing the future of the business and 132 jobs.

Jimmy Saunders, managing director at KR8 Advisory, who led the sale, said: “As the largest employer in the area, it was important to preserve the vital skills and experience of the local workforce and I am delighted that KR8 has played a part in securing the long-term future of this business."
