THERE is much excitement amongst residents as Bridgerule is finally getting its own shop — but more funding is needed to complete the project.

The building is up and looking good, and is situated near the village hall.

However, there are some concerns that prices have increased since the idea of a shop was first muted. The organising body are constantly applying for new grants but there is still a request for donations to the shop or for the buying of shares which could help with the next stage. 

A spokesperson said: “We said we wanted a shop, so let’s get it up and running.”
