ANIMAL behaviourist and adventuress Emma Massingale and her Shetlands ‘Albert’ and ‘Ernie’ will be making guest appearances at the Mole Valley Farmers’ Holsworthy store in the run up to Christmas.

The Shetlands are stars of various films made by Emma, including the Mole Valley Farmers ‘Not your average store’ which was filmed at Holsworthy; seen on Horse and Country TV last Christmas and has been recently won an EQUUS film festival award.

The ponies also took centre stage in Emma’s TV ‘Shetland Adventure’, made for The One Show last year, when she sailed with them around the Shetland Islands, taking them back to their roots.

Laura Heatley, assistant business centre manager at Holsworthy, said: “Local girl Emma and her ponies are always massively popular, so come and meet the trio from 7pm on Thursday, December 21. Take a Christmas selfie and share it on our Mole Valley Farmers Facebook page, so we can see what you get up to on the night!

“This event is one of three special late night shopping events at Holsworthy, when the store opens until 9pm.

“There will be loads of opportunities to browse, chat and generally get into the Christmas spirit. Emma will also be signing her award winning DVD ‘The Island Project’, which documents her solitary month spent living off the land on a remote Irish island, with just six Connemara ponies for company.”

Emma and her Shetlands will join the Mole Valley Farmers’ team during their Christmas late night shopping events tonight (Thursday).
