ONE of Launceston’s main roads is set to be closed for more than ten days amid planned roadworks.

Exeter Street in the town’s centre has been scheduled for 11 days of daytime closures to allow for works to be undertaken.

From July 8 until July 19, the road which connects Race Hill and Tavistock Road will be completely closed to drivers.

Instead, road users will be forced to take a detour through the town’s one-way system before heading along the A388 and emerging at the entrance to Tavistock Road.

The closure has been put in place by Wales and West Utilities to allow for utility repair and maintenance works.
