I am writing in support of the sentiment expressed by your correspondent on page four of this week's Bude and Stratton Post about the new recycling centre rules.

I think the council has been extremely short sighted over this matter.

I understand they spent over £50-million of our money instituting unnecessary but revolutionary changes to our bin-collection system. They have now shot themselves in the foot. Making it more difficult and complicated to gain access to the Recycling Centres is bound to deter people from going. This will inevitably lead to more recyclable stuff going back into black bags and, regrettably, more fly tipping. Where then will the Council's much-trumpeted benefits be, I wonder?

Perhaps it is not too late for someone to come to their senses and strike out the Recycling Centre Regulations before too much more damage is done to the environment?
