Residents of Launceston will be travelling back in time this weekend as the town hosts its ‘Heritage Weekend’.

Launceston Chamber of Commerce are hosting a Heritage Weekend on June 17 and June 18.

Budding historians can expect a variety of activities on offer, each hoping to give a peek into the past.

A spokesperson from Launceston Chamber of Commerce said: “Viking re-enactors will be in the castle, live music, markets, face painting, etc. There is also a free open house trail where buildings will be open to the public for a 'nose' around such as the old police station cells on Westgate Street and Cyprus Well.”
