BACK in 1986 when two Holsworthy men wanted to raise funds for local charities and with the help of some friends, they decided to hold a small fete with stalls, games and a few vintage vehicles in one of the town's car parks. No one could have dreamed what a huge event it was destined to become, writes Christine Williams our Holsworthy correspondent.
Nowadays the Holsworthy Vintage Vehicle and Engine Rally, held each year over the last weekend in June, attracts hundreds of visitors and exhibitors who flock to the two day event on the spacious showground one mile out of town.
