NEWS that TV actor John Nettles was to appear in Holsworthy Rotary's Musical Extravaganza meant that there was an unprecedented demand for tickets and the 500 or so lucky people who snapped them up and packed the HATS (Holsworthy Amateur Theatrical Society) on March 18 and 19 were treated to a memorable evening's entertainment.
The items, a happy blend of music and comedy, were compered by Ian Chouffot. Early in the show he introduced Mr Nettles who received a warm and appreciative welcome from the audience, and, having received a few tips on how to do the job, was allowed to share the role of compere.
