REMAINING funds to cover the initial costs of reopening a youth centre in Holsworthy are being sought.

A £10,000 grant was approved by Devon County Council towards start-up costs of the youth centre, as reported in last week's Post, but now the committee is seeking the remaining amount needed of £2,500.

Conservative county councillor for Holsworthy Barry Parsons updated town councillors at their latest meeting.

He said the committee was looking to acquire the remaining amount from Investment in Devon funding.

He added: "All in all it's a job well done and now we look forward to the next project."
