THE 1st Holsworthy Scout Group held a fun evening in the park recently, which was well attended despite the overcast skies and the odd shower.

On Monday, July 4, the Scouts organised bouncy castles, provided by Holsworthy Inflatable Hire, which proved to be the main attraction with all ages, including some leaders, having a jump around.

Holsworthy Fire Brigade demonstrated how to use their new fire engine, with the young people getting their hands on the equipment and climbing up into the firefighters’ seats.

PFCSO?Mark James from Holsworthy also came along with stickers, leaflets and uniforms to try on.

Pauline Masters, Beaver leader, said: “It was another successful fun evening with support from the community. The young people had lots of fun and that’s what it’s all about. Thank you to all the people that helped.”

On the day 95 young people attended the event and raised approximately £300 for outperform Scout Hut.
